The Royal Academy of Dance offers first-rate teaching with excellent results year on year. Our GCSE, GCE AS and A2 Dance courses equip students with the relevant skills and knowledge to enable them to progress on to further dance studies. Students attending the Academy benefit from its strong links with the professional dance industry and other academic institutions through professional dance workshops and tutorials. Former students have gone on to study dance-related subjects at Higher Education or to develop their careers in teaching, dance notation, dance administration and performance. All tuition, written examinations and practical assessments take place at RAD headquarters which is an approved examination centre.

What? AQA Examination Board Key Components • GCSE: Contemporary technique, Choreography, Performance skills, Dance history and appreciation
• GCE AS and A2 level: Contemporary technique, Choreography, Dance history and appreciation, Anatomy and Physiology
Where and When? RAD Headquarters, London • GCSE Dance (2 year course): 3 hours tuition every Saturday during term time
• GCE AS Level (1 year course): 51/2 hours tuition every Saturday during term time
• GCE A2 Level (1 year course): 51/2 hours tuition every Saturday during term time
The full A Level can be obtained by successfully completing AS and A2 Level. Students who have already completed the GCE AS Level elsewhere are welcome to apply for the GCE A2 course in order to complete the full A Level.
