 The annual St. Patricks’s Day Parade is a cross between a traditional small town parade and a Doo Dah parade. St. Patrick, the Kelly School Irish Dancers, bag- pipers, vintage LAPD patrol cars, marching bands, Irish bicyclists and the Anhauser Bush handcart drill team are among the popular entries.


REDONDO KITE FESTIVAL

 The Annual Festival of the Kite at the Redondo Pier, noon – 5 p.m., is one of the longest-running kite festi- vals in Southern California, featuring a wide display of colorful and unique kites. The festival includes Japanese Taiko drummers, martial arts demonstrations and live music.  The Annual Ron Cawdrey Carnival and Springfest newly renamed to honor beloved former councilman Ron Cawdrey, features crazy carnival rides, arts and crafts, food stands and live music. Admission and parking are free. Unlimited pass for all rides costs $12. Hosted by the North Redondo Business Association. Aviation & Manhattan Bch. boulevards.


SURFER WALK OF FAME

 Inductees to the Hermosa Beach Surfers Walk of Fame are introduced with colorful and often profane stories. Previous inductees include surfing greats Greg Noll, Dewey Weber, Hap Jacobs and Mike Purpus, and pioneer surf photographer Leroy Grannis. 11 a.m.
