MAMA LIZ THANKSGIVING DINNER

The annual, free, Mama Liz musical concert and variety show and Thanksgiving dinner, featuring freshly baked turkeys, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie is served absolute- ly free from noon – 4 p.m. at the Hermosa Kiwanis and Rotarian halls. The sitdown dinner is organized by Easy Reader, Cheer for Children, local Realtors and other local volunteers. For those who prefer Thanksgiving dinner outdoors, Niki Tedesco and Hope Chapel serve a similarly sumptuous meal at the Hermosa Beach Pier.

HOLIDAY FIREWORKS

The Manhattan Beach Holiday Fireworks Festival at the Pier includes Skechers Snow Park and Michael Stars Bounce Park at 4 p.m. Santa will greets kids. From 5 - 6:30 p.m., the John Brown band leads a holiday sing-a-long. At 7 p.m., the fire- works show choreographed to seasonal music blasts off.
YULETIDE 5K RUN
Sat., Dec. (TBA) Manhattan Beach pier
Run, walk or baby jog on the hard packed sand in the annu- al Manhattan Beach Yuletide 5K followed by kids races. Race time is dependent on the low tide nearest the solstice. Jingle Bracelets and run T-Shirts for pre-registered runners (and to late registrants while supplies last). Top 5 Unique Awards in all age divisions. 5K: $28; Kids Races: $22 ($27 late registration).
