THE 2011 ITT CONFERENCE TOOK PLACE IN THE FABULOUS CITY OF VENICE AND DESPITE THE STORMY WEATHER, WAS A HUGE SUCCESS WITH MANY DELEGATES SAYING IT WAS THE BEST CONFERENCE YET!

Vivacious Veneto!

With the Conference teeming with high profile speakers and fantastic social and networking events, this year’s annual ITT Member gathering offered the perfect mix of business and pleasure.

Our high profile line up of speakers included Sir Terry Leahy, Lord Andrew Adonis, Peter Long, Manny Fontenla-Novoa, Simon Vincent and Fabio Mantegazza, to name but a few. The sessions offered engaging and informative presentations and interviews, providing delegates with a wealth of knowledge and different perspectives on the industry.

With TTG as our trade media partner, we had no concerns when it came to commentary on the Conference. TTG had this all sown up and reported on the event with a combination of print, online, video and social media coverage. The editor of TTG, Daniel Pearce also took to the stage on the second day of the Conference to conduct a frank and informative interview with Richard Jackson, Director of the Consumer Protection Group of the CAA.

The Thomas Cook Gala Dinner was one of the most memorable Conference dinners ever – taking place on the site of a former Benedictine Monastery with entertainment

ranging from the Three Tenors of Venice to a human ventriloquist’s dummy starring ITT’s Chairman, Steven Freudmann! On a serious note, the auction at the dinner raised a staggering £25,900 for ITT’s adopted charity, Just a Drop – thankyou to all those who contributed on the night.

Even with torrential rain, electrical storms and two re-starts, the Conference golf tournament finally found a winner, with Angus Chisholm of C&M Recruitment scoring 32 points – congratulations to Angus and all those who braved the challenging conditions!

We opened and closed the Conference in true ITT style with a Venetian inspired Carnival and a gastronomic journey through Veneto! Both events were a triumph of great food, entertainment and company.

ITT would like to take this opportunity to thank our hosts, the Regione del Veneto and the Molino Stucky Hilton.

Thank-you also to our headline sponsors: Affordable Car Hire, Europ Assistance, News International, Thomas Cook, P&O Ferries, TTG and WTM.
