Parkinson’s Trust


What they do: Fund innovative research projects with an aim to curing Parkinson’s disease. Location: National Candis Big Give project: To help fund a clinical trial attempting to establish the efficiency and safety of a potential new therapy. If successful it would have life- changing implications for people living with Parkinson’s disease, a neurological condition affecting around 120,000 people in the UK.


Meningitis Trust


What they do: Provide anyone affected by meningitis with life- long support including 24-hour helplines, counselling and grants, raising awareness of the disease. Location: National


Candis Big Give project: The charity organises 11 family days a year, where families can share their experiences and access support while having fun! The money raised will fund another two family days to be held in 2012.
