e never forget that it’s thanks to our legion of subscribers that Candis Club can donate large sums of money to health charities. And last year we decided to make donations go
further by launching The Candis Big Give – an initiative that helped raise over £1.5m for 57 health charities such as The Eve Appeal, Mind and Marie Curie Cancer Care. We were so thrilled with how many charities benefited
from The Candis Big Give that we’re doing the same this year. Over 50 charities – including Arthritis UK, Cancer Research UK, The National Brain Appeal and Meningitis Trust – are taking part, each raising money for a specific project. These include running after-school activities for disadvantaged children, funding vital medical research to find cures for rare disorders and providing nursing care so cancer patients can spend Christmas at home. You can find out about all of them at candis.co.uk/charity. The great news is that simply by subscribing to Candis, you’re automatically supporting all the fantastic projects
(see How buying a subscription helps). But the beauty of The Candis Big Give Christmas Challenge is that, whether you are a subscriber or not, you have the chance to be part of something really special. If you see a specific charity that’s close to your heart, you can take part in The Candis Big Give Christmas Challenge and help them to raise the money they need to complete their specific project. Every single donation made online through The Candis Big Give on 5-9 December will be automatically doubled by our match-funding pot while it lasts. This means that if you donate £10, the charity will get £20; or if you give £100, the charity gets £200, and so on.
