Engineering students start their careers


Central State University students graduating with degrees in Manufacturing Engineering are finding the job market open and waiting for them. Congratulations to the students below on achieving their goals.

of Defense, will be used to develop the University’s center of excellence in STEM education. “We are very grateful that the Department of Defense has chosen to invest these significant resources in our University,” said John W. Garland, CSU President. “Central State is one of only three minority institutions to receive this highly prestigious grant.”


This grant is in addition to funding for CSU scholars by the Ohio Board of Regents to implement “Diversifying Ohio in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics” (DO- STEM) to provide scholarships under a five-year program.


The DO-STEM team has 823 scholarships, averaging $3,735 each, for a total amount of $3,073,948 to provide merit-based scholarships in order to attract the best and brightest students to CSU.


“We have 15 full DO-STEM scholarships available and 110 partial scholarships of up to $3,500 each,” said Kuti. “I encourage students and their families as well as guidance counselors to learn more about the tremendous opportunities at Central State University.”

Nathaniel J. Morris is setting up a Bridgeport 3 axis CNC Milling Machine. He will be drilling several holes in the plate which will be used in the assembly of seat brackets in the shift cart.
