WHAT’S NEW It’s in the bag

The phrases: “Revolutionary, cutting edge, and innovation” are used so often today they seem to have lost their real true meaning. However, words cannot explain the latest full colour printing achievement now available from TheMagicTouch.

Using their unique CPM coated transfer paper (available in A4 & A3) in conjunction with selected toner based colour printers and copiers, printed images can be transferred directly onto paper bags using a traditional heat press, normally used for T-shirts and textiles. The process is quick, clean and very economical with full colour transfers as low as 15p each and production of over 200 bags per hour easily achieved. Imagine the advantage of being able to offer customers what they want, when they want with no minimum order level or

restrictions as far as set-up or art work costs are concerned. Take advantage of being able to produce bespoke samples and short runs in full colour.

The company also offers a host of transfer’s papers that

also enable full colour imaging onto

all types of textiles including cotton, jute, polyester as well as leather, metal, glass, ceramics and lots more.

Antalis McNaughton expands range

Antalis McNaughton has introduced two new additions to its iPrint Pure 3D polypropylene film range to include printable inkjet rolls suitable for water based systems using dye and pigmented inks, and solvent printers using full and eco solvent inks.

iPrint Pure 3D

features a honeycomb, or ‘fly eye’ lens array that magnifies patterns to create the

perception of depth which allows for a universal viewing angle, meaning you can see the 3D effect all around the printed image. Chris Green, Market Manager for Antalis McNaughton Sign and Display says: "We launched iPrint Pure

3D at the Sign & Digital show to a tremendous reception from all sectors of the market. Printers are keen to capitalise on 3D applications to differentiate themselves in the market and further enhance their offering.” iPrint Pure 3D can be used with the majority of printing technologies including Indigo, UV offset litho, screen print, UV curable inkjet and now water based and solvent inkjet. It can be cut, creased, glued and finished to make visually stunning 3D packaging and point of sale items and many other applications.

The RollsRoller Flatbed Applicator from William Smith is widely recognised by the sign and graphics and digital printing industries to be the most cost effective and accurate method of applying self-adhesive materials, application tapes and digital prints to virtually any commonly used substrate up to a thickness of 65mm.

Significantly, the machine has enabled owners to achieve time savings of up to 80% by comparison with other forms of application and has resulted in the RollsRoller becoming the method of choice where it has been used continuously with little or no maintenance under the most demanding conditions and with the need only of a single operator. Now this highly innovative, patented and superbly engineered solution is available in 18 different machine configurations and in three distinct performance categories (Standard Duty, Premium Grade and Traffic that, as the grading implies, is specific to the production of road traffic signs). A host of optional design features that include a height adjustment facility, extension tables, additional roller beam and self-sealing cutting mat, further enable the machine’s production capabilities to be fully realised.
