HAVING recently been to their Berlin studio, which is packed with all manner of vintage drum machines, synths and other manner of wonderful sonic goodies, we can confi rm that the new Modeselektor album ‘Monkeytown’, released in Germany 30th September, the UK and Europe on 3rd October and the US and elsewhere on 4th October, is their best work yet, combining the most twisted techno with techy hip- hop, lush electronica and even r&b! If you can’t wait till then, lucky visitors to Germany for Melt! festival can catch their Melt!Selektor stage on 15th -16th July where they’re premiering their new techno project with Marcel Dettmann and Shed, A.T.O.L., and hosting everyone from Jamie Woon to Rusko.
