Burgess becomes an official sponsor of Oceana
Burgess is now an official corporate sponsor of Oceana, the world’s largest ocean-based non- profit organisation. With more than 500,000 members, Oceana works to protect and restore the world’s oceans by securing policy changes that reduce pollution and prevent the irreversible collapse of fish populations and marine life. As one of a prestigious group of sponsors, Burgess will participate in Oceana’s two major events – The SeaChange Summer Party in Orange County, and The Hamptons Splash Party. Earlier in the year, Burgess’ initial collaboration with Oceana resulted in the highly successful ‘Bid to Save the Earth’ Green Auction when fierce bidding on a Burgess luxury yacht charter,
courtesy of the owners of the magnificent 57.9 metre superyacht LADY SHERIDAN, raised USD 100,000. The short cruise on the French Riviera offered accommodation for up to 12 guests in six en suite cabins and the use of every conceivable on board amenity – together with the services of a professional crew of 15 and a world-class chef. Proceeds from the auction went to help four leading environmental non- profits, including Oceana.
