The Product
Walden’s manufacturing process draws specifically from Walden’s Chief designer Jonathan Lee’s experience as a luthier at CFox Guitars, and from techniques used at large US production shops such as Martin and Taylor. Walden currently only uses what are considered traditional guitar tone-woods, varieties of spruce (sitka and engelmann) and western red cedar. Back and side woods are either Indian rosewood or mahogany originating from Africa or South and Central America. Fingerboards and bridges are Indian rosewood and ebony imported from India and SE Asia. Walden doesn’t outsource its manufacturing and the guitar shop is the only one in Asia with a certified 100 per cent Pure Chain-of-Custody. Walden Guitars is also a member of The Forest Trust (TFT) and is committed to developing legal sourcing for all our materials. Through Walden’s partnership with TFT and by using certified woods, it supports forest management.
