Morton carries on regardless
One firm liquidated, legal tussles, invoices unpaid, but shows go on and new ones promised BY GARY COOPER
RUMOURS surrounding the future of Guitar Nation, scheduled for Wembley on November 26th and 27th, have been rebutted by show organiser, Clive Morton. “We’re launching shows, not knocking them on the head,” he said. Storm clouds have gathered over Music Nation, the original owner of Guitar Nation, since the cancellation of the company’s planned event at Birmingham's NEC in May this year. Despite having attracted several major industry names as exhibitors, the event was cancelled due to ‘economic circumstances’– the Wembley event being promoted as a more attractive alternative. Since the cancellation of
