“Foreign cities always seem more colorful than the big cities of the U.S., and it’s tempting to overindulge in this color. As a compromise, while in Morocco, I was on the lookout for contrast between splashes of color and dull or dirty objects. Commuter bikes are a staple of Moroccan culture, and I noticed this tired and well-worn bike set against a bright floor with wonderful tapestries


while wandering the streets of Marrakech.”
