Meet ROGER MUNRO 21ST CENTURY YOGIC
Roger is a western YOGI who has been living in solitary retreat, deep in the forests of California and who meditates at least 16 hours a day, rarely coming out into the “real world” except when news of some high initiation is being offered. On just such an occasion is when LILLIAN TOO and ROGER MUNRO’s paths crossed again after 15 years. When told that Roger had just completed a GREAT RETREAT which had lasted four years and was getting ready to start another which would last 5, Lillian took the opportunity to invite Roger to Malaysia to lead a very special week long retreat for her small group of friends. The result was totally mind blowing as Roger shared some truly amazing ritualistic and practice secrets. Honey Lim took this opportunity to have extended chats with Roger. am humbled to have had the privilege of spending quality time with VENERABLE ROGER MUNRO, a remarkably modest, unassuming and very cheerful disciple of Lama Zopa Rinpoche, someone who has
also studied at the feet of some of the most qualified Masters of this and last century, many of whom have already passed away. the incredibly difficult practices involved to reach his level of accomplishment, it is impossible not to be struck by the powerful aura of peace and goodwill that emanates from this lovely man. Not surprising, when we discover that he has spent the last 15 years completing several Great Solitary Retreats 4-5 years at a time! Roger shares some truly magical stories with me, and how his near-death experience led him onto this sacred journey to attain a state of perfect learning, what the Buddhists term a state of Enlightenment. Of course Roger’s original meeting with the Dharma began many lifetimes ago; but in this lifetime, Roger tells of how he came to meet his Spiritual Gurus - Kyabje Lama
