Real-life experience is key if you want to learn about nursing, athletic training and other health-related fields. Our Brooks College of Health will equip you for success by doing just that. Our world-class facilities provide students with simulated ER and hospital environments and access to the latest technology used in real healthcare settings. Jacksonville’s hospitals, sports medicine clinics, area high schools and professional and collegiate athletic teams partner with UNF to provide meaningful internships and clinical practicums. Our proximity to these leaders in the health field gives Brooks students an edge when they begin their careers in the health industry.


Flagship Program: Community Nursing Students in this unique program benefit from our strong nursing curriculum, coupled with a community-service emphasis. Students are assigned to a home-base community where they work together with their peers and community leaders to meet the health needs of an under-served or vulnerable group. The School of Nursing was recently recognized for their work as a leader of change in reshaping the traditional model of nursing education.


In 2011, the Nursing School was recognized among 10 Nursing programs around the country to receive Stellar School Chapter Recognition by the National School of Nurses Association.


Flagship Program: Nutrition & Dietetics Nutrition and Dietetics is a rapidly growing field that is in high demand. Our program takes advantage of strong internship opportunities available in high need areas outside of Jacksonville, offering online coursework so students can intern while completing their degree.
