A former rock drummer already playing sweaty gigs in Australia aged 15 with his band Loki, DJ and producer Bass Kleph, aka Stu Tyson, made the leap to hi-octane house after realising he liked hearing the percussion more than the guitars. With numerous Beatport number ones and top tens to his name, plus international DJ bookings stretching all the way into 2012, he’s in high demand as re-rubs for top players such as Jesse Voorn, D. Ramirez, Moguai and Westbam show. You can get a taste of his sound
– also featured on DJ Weekly Podcast 5 – on the forthcoming ‘Bass Kleph: Presents’ (released 18th July on Vacation), which features plenty of Bass Kleph’s own productions such as ‘$spend My Money’, included in his Beatport chart too, alongside collaboration with the likes of Prok N Fitch, Filthy Rich and Alex Kenji. Watch out too for his new show, currently testing the waters down under, which features vocalist Chris Arnott and sees Stu going back to his live roots.
