SPORTS PRODUCTION GETS A BOOST WITH THE LAUNCH OF AVID INGAME
Avid has moved to strengthen relationships with its reseller network as part of the company’s new strategy across Europe to provide a more consistent level of service to clients. Avid’s Northern Pro Video channel sales manager EMEA Mark Bainbridge said that following the decision to restructure sales into separate teams specifi cally focused on video and audio, the manufacturer has also taken the opportunity to fi ne tune its reseller programme. Bainbridge, who is responsible for managing sales and support in the UK, Ireland, Northern Europe and Israel, as well as accredited Avid resellers in these regions, added: “Our partners are critical to Avid’s success and our strategy is to work closely with them to provide a consistent level of support through our reseller network. It’s important that they are confi dent to invest in Avid as a long term business partner to achieve mutual growth.” Bainbridge added the company is to survey resellers to fi nd out what kind of support they most need, beginning with joint marketing initiatives. “We are taking the time to listen, and are looking at refreshing our training tools to help partners skill up. We want to make sure we are listening to our partners and their customers, and that we’re providing our resellers with the tools they need to be effective.” Avid has two tiers of resellers – its Avid Elite partners which handle more complex projects, and solution sales and preferred partners. “We don’t necessarily want more Elite resellers but we do want to be clear about what the Elite brand stands for, namely a consistently high level of service.”
