publisher’s note W
elcome to my hometown. I moved to Charleston in 1979, and I consider that to be the second best decision I’ve made in my life. Having children, loving them and
taking care of them the best way I know how is the first.
My decision to move here continues to produce benefits. I give Charleston’s lifestyle credit for keeping my family close. My kids and now my grandchildren and daughter-in-law all live here in Charleston. I’m a proud father and grandfather, so I just had to show y’all my grandkids. Meet Tyler, Liza and Lucas.
I know you’re not here to learn about my love for Charleston or to look at my beautiful grandchildren, but isn’t it nice to know that Charlestonians really do have a passion for where we live? We hope our magazines and websites will help you become more passionate about Charleston and show you the best places to eat, stay, tour and visit. Although Charleston Vacation Guide has a lot to offer, our readers really seem to enjoy our Charleston and Mount Pleasant maps and the cruise schedule. We’ve been told that we are the only local magazine with a full cruise schedule. My staff and I do not see the magazine simply as a tourist publication. We consider Charleston Vacation Guide to be your relocation and tour guide, full of well-written, informative articles and beautiful photos. We want our magazine to be your connection to the Charleston area.
My grandkids from left to right; Liza, Tyler and Lucas.
If you would like us to send you or a friend a copy of Charleston Vacation Guide, please fill out the postage free postcard inside this magazine. I don’t know if you’re a golf fan, but, if you are, look inside for a chance to win tickets to the 2012 PGA Championship.
And don’t forget that you can visit any of our websites and read the green online edition of this magazine at
www.CruisesLeavingCharleston.com,
www.ILoveCharleston.com or

Tanks for picking up our magazine, visiting my town and letting me tell you about my grandkids. Please drop me an e-mail, and let me know what you like most about Charleston or Savannah at
