GOLF OUTINGS AND MEETINGS

Depending on the size of your group, allow four to six hours to play 18 holes. You will need one golf cart for every two golfers. For example, if you have a group of 50 people, you will need 25 carts.

Plan for two beverage carts for every 18 holes.

The average entry fee is $125 per golfer.

The average charitable golf outing raises $5,000.

An 18-hole golf course is capable of accommodating 144 golfers at once. This breaks down to 36 foursomes on the course at one time, with two foursomes on each hole. Estimating a median rack rate of $40, a tournament of 100 golfers will cost a mininum of $4,000 to play 18 holes.

If you have 100 golfers and charge a $100 entry fee, you can generate a $10,000 planning budget. This information is compiled from

multiple resources researched by Midwest Meetings®

magazine. 52 MIDWEST MEETINGS SUMMER 2011
