Hyatt Regency Minneapolis enters agreement | Minneapolis, MN


On April 1, 2011, Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced that a Hyatt affi liate


entered into an agreement with affi liates of Haberhill and Starwood Capital Group Global to form a joint venture. This new joint venture has taken ownership of Hyatt Regency Minneapolis and has signed a long-term agreement with a Hyatt affi liate to manage the hotel. The joint venture plans a $25 million renovation of the hotel’s guestrooms, suites, public areas, restaurants, meeting space, and building systems. The renovation and repositioning of the hotel is expected to be completed by 2012. Hyatt Regency Minneapolis is a full-service convention center hotel located in downtown Minneapolis that features extensive meeting facilities, renowned dining, luxurious guestrooms, and an exciting new health club. The hotel has 533 guest- rooms, including twelve suites, and 74,000 sq. ft. of fl exible meeting space that in- cludes two grand ballrooms, 10,000 sq. ft. of pre-function space, a 30,000 sq. ft. dedi- cated exhibit hall, and onsite catering services and audiovisual providers. The hotel’s upscale StayFit Athletic Club features an indoor pool, racquetball, basketball, fi tness classes, massages, steam rooms, and more. The hotel’s prime location on the Nicollet Mall lets guests easily explore an incredible array of Twin Cities’ attractions, from shopping to sports and everything in between.
