In a world that has proved to be bleak and inhumane, three people who are seeking refuge find a stream of light in the midst of the darkness. Composed from conversations and interviews with members of Maryhill Integration Network, Vox Asylum tells the real-life stories of three people who fled their homeland in fear and found new hope in Glasgow.

Professional dancers and musicians come together with a cast of people seeking asylum, refugees and indigenous communities to
explore and express how people struggle and suffer even when they are safe and how their children help them to find the strength to move forward. Here I Am features poems by Remzije Sherifi and choreography by Natasha Gilmore. In Under the Same Sky, YDance’s Knightswood Boys Dance Group share their new lives in Glasgow with the premier of their short film and a dynamic hip-hop showcase. Colours of Life is a display of cultural richness showcasing international dance styles and traditional costumes from AlbScott and Clan Macondo.

Visible Fictions has worked with young people to explore the nature of storytelling through this unique and one-
off performance. Inspired by Visible Fiction’s recent adaptation of Philip Pullman’s Clockwork, the young company has created work to be staged over an evening of dynamic story telling.
Cabaret with Seeds of Thought Saturday 25 June 9pm, Victoria Bar Free but ticketed
Celebrate Refugee Week with an evening of spoken word, music, comedy and general good vibes. The evening is hosted by Seeds of Thought with an array of exciting guests.
