Established for over forty years the National Carpet Cleaners Association is the only independent UK trade body dedicated to the craft of carpet, upholstery, curtain and other soft furnishing cleaning. NCCA members benefit from impartial training and technical advice, provided by experts within the industry, together with schemes and initiatives to assist in their business. Membership is open to anyone who attends the comprehensive two-day training course and passes the exam, which follows. The Association has recently developed a Publicly Available Specification (PAS) in collaboration with BSI British Standards. PAS86 is a Code of Practice covering inspection, maintenance and the cleaning and restoration of textile floor coverings. It is intended for use by the professional cleaning industry and available for purchase to both members and non-members.
