HOSPITAL VISITS & HEALTHCARE

A MONTH OF

August was not a great month for me. I found myself making so many trips to the

reaching the point when I had to rest my eyes every hour or so, close them, soothe them with eye drops, lubricate them. All very aggravating indeed, especially as I need to read and write and work in front of the computer for so many hours a day…

check my eyes, find out what was causing me so much stress in them. My ability to read was getting worse, and it was fast

past few years and most important of all, having eye problems so acute I needed to

I am supposed to be enjoying great health. My 12th House is also clear with no malignant planets and this means that I will not be bedridden or senile no matter how old I survive to - all very reassuring news especially since I am diabetic and suffer from high blood pressure - as many of my older readers are as well. We need to be careful about our diet, our blood pressure and our sugar levels. All very annoying but these are things anyone past fifty needs to become increasingly aware of. Health becomes the most important issue on our minds. So first I re-checked my health feng shui - made sure the five

checked my Paht Chee charts and consulted with my Jyotish astrologer just to make sure (and was strongly reassured) that I was not going blind. In my charts,

elements in my home and bedrooms were properly balanced, double checked that my giant wu lou was in the right corner (South this year, where the illness star is located in 2011) and that

placed there were happily tinkling away… Next I decided it was time to see a diabetic specialist (an Endocrinologist

for those of you

who may be unaware of the kind of Doctor to see) to make sure my sugar levels were at a good level and that all my important organs and glands were functioning well. This I did... and it was great to know from blood results that all was well on that score. Next I made an appointment

to see the Eye Specialist and here I met the most delightful doctor. She is young and lovely and has amazingly beautiful chi energy. I took to her instantly as she ran me

through a whole series of tests. I was so impressed with the facilities and equipment at her disposal. Every aspect of my eyes was tested before she explained the diagnosis to me. Here I have to tell you that I was

at the Prince Court Hospital which is located on the intersection of Jalan Bukit Bintang and Jalan Ampang in Kuala Lumpur. I had been unaware that we had such a beautiful, well- designed and super landscaped private hospital in Malaysia where the staff and facilities are just too amazing. I have to say that the modern décor and clean lines just blew me away. But the facilities and the wonderful attitude of the staff was what impressed me the most. This is a very well-managed, well-funded hospital indeed.

I had been lucky. Turned out that the hospital is managed by the husband of a friend of mine.
