April has arrived. We’re already into the fourth month of the year and the industry has been ripe with promise. So what’s been going on over the past month?

I’m sure that everyone will know that March saw the return of The Cleaning Show, an event that I was particularly looking forward to attending. Was the show a success? Or was my excitement short-lived? Find out in my honest review on page 22.

Speaking of The Cleaning Show, I’d just like to say a special thank you to the sponsors and guests who attended the ultimate after show event that was the Tomorrow’s Cleaning Night at the Dogs. The team here had a brilliant time and we hope you did too. You can see some snaps from the event on page 24 – great to see so many people having a brilliant time!

4 | TOMORROW’S CLEANING | The future of our cleaning industry EDITOR’S VOICE

After breaking my BlackBerry (twice) this month and going two days (TWO DAYS!) without it, I realised the true importance of technology and how much of a difference it makes. As a champion of the online world, for this month’s Technology feature, I decided to have a look at which companies use the internet effectively by listing some of my favourite industry websites. While I was doing so, I decided to create a place for industry members to chat and share their thoughts, so readers, welcome to The Cleaning Industry group – created on LinkedIn. Interested? Find out more on page 27.

This issue also looks at Working at Height and Healthcare & Hospital Hygiene, which incorporates a special feature looking at the NHS. I could write so much about the topics covered in this issue, but I think I’ll let you escape and have a read of it instead!

I hope you enjoy this issue as always. Take care and enjoy the sunshine!
