First to the finish
In-house finishing is the trend for 2011 in the UK sign and banner making industry, with printers outsourcing less finishing for increased profits and greater quality control. Solent Sewing and Welding's Miller Weldmaster and industrial sewing machines can help. They can be used to sew or weld all fabrics used in the sign and banner industry, including digital textiles, mesh, PVC, PU and PE.
The company's Ian Jenkins, explained: “For producers of signs, banners and billboards we aim to supply the right machine to maximise productivity and enhance quality, from simple banner hemming through to a complete custom system which will hem, eyelet, reinforce and cut banners and billboards. Precision heat sealing is also an option, with the Miller Weldmaster welding machines providing the speed required by
the wide and super-wide format sign making industry. We are also able to offer welding solutions for recyclable (PE) and traditionally non- weldables using heat activated tape.”
Solent Sewing and Welding will launch two new machines at the show: the Miller Weldmaster 112 Extreme and Impulse Extreme with automatic folding device. Visitors will also have access to a free sample finishing offer, whereby sign and banner makers can provide samples and Solent will finish them to their specifications after the show.
