Bigger is better
With a stand 50 per cent bigger than last year, Graphic Printing Technologies (GPT) will have a broad range of systems on its stand as well as supplier representatives who can answer questions and show each product to its full potential.
Stuart Cole explained: “This is our first show as an Amari group company and we will present a range of systems for applications from sign-making, to proofing and graphic print production. Sign and Digital enables us to show the market what GPT really has to offer, from our technical knowledge and experience to complimentary and approved consumables for all the systems we supply.”
On the GPT stand will be equipment from: Agfa, Zund, Mimaki, Epson, Canon, Shiraz software and the ZapKut ZM panel saw machine.

Colourful solutions for signmaking
Colour solutions specialist, Granthams, will promote its latest products including large format indoor and outdoor solvent and pigment based systems from HP, Canon and Mimaki.
New for Sign UK 2011 will be the Elements eco-friendly alternative to solvent, said to offer low cost purchase and running costs with outdoor durability on a range of uncoated media. RIP options are also available from ColorGATE, Onyx, Rasterlink, Shiraz and Signlab. Other products include a range of cutting solutions for general signmaking, as well as contour cut and die cut solutions from Graphtec and Mimaki plus signmaking software for Mac and PC. Visitors can discuss a variety of laminators available from Granthams, from the Easymount and Drytac JetMounter range of hot and cold laminators through to heavy duty Seal systems. A consultancy service including installation, on-site training and media profiling supports the range, backed by a range of RIP servers, back-up solutions and consumables.

Grafityp UK will exhibit a range of products in its role as a supplier of Grafitack and Graficast self-adhesive vinyl, including the automotive and deco ranges. The company also offers Grafiprint Digital print media/laminates and Grafiflex CAD cut and printable textile films from Siser, all of which will be on show with staff available for advice. A selection of digital solvent printers can be seen including Roland VersaCAMM print and cut machines with various ink configurations including metallic, as well as laminating equipment. Other highlights will include SignPal cutting plotters and LaserPro engraving machines from GCC, as well as the GrafiWrap vehicle wrapping films and Auto-Deco films such as leather look and brushed aluminium.

Bone-up on revenue boosting ideas
HP will exhibit a range of large format digital inkjet printing solutions designed to help customers increase their profitable growth. Products on display will include HP latex printing technologies, spearheaded by the HP Designjet L25500 and HP Scitex LX800 printers. Both run water-based HP latex inks suitable for producing prints for indoor applications where odour is a concern. An informative on-stand seminar programme will run throughout the show highlighting how the multi-substrate and broad application capabilities of HP large format printers can increase revenue for sign makers and print business owners. This will include a Vespa-wrapping workshop from vinyl-wrapping expert, James Deacon, demonstrating the creative results achievable from this low-cost marketing tool. Also on display will be the UV flatbed, 163cm HP Scitex FB500 printer, which features optional white ink capabilities to extend the applications available to users. Finally the HP Designjet Z6200 photo printer will be running HP Vivid Photo Inks to deliver quality output at speed.
