SOUTH .3AFRICA ~:

Tasting notes The wine has a beautiful cherry red color and the nose is reminiscent of fresh strawberries and a touch of cranberries. The palate bursts with strawberry and cherry well balanced with the crisp acidity. The finish is fresh and dry

Serving suggestions Perfect with mild Oriental dishes

Winemaking The Pinotage grapes selected for this Rose wine comes from 4-6 year old vineyards in the Breedekloof region in the Western Cape. Pinotage was chosen due to its early ripening and also the color and flavor profile which suits Rose style wines very well. The grapes were harvested at an average of 23°Bjust after daybreak and immediately destemmed, crushed and cooled through a mash cooler to 14°C.After cold soaking for 12 hours and a light pressing the juice was run off to stainless steel tanks for fermentation. Fermentation was controlled at 14°Cfor 22 days.
