Tim Healey in Brazil On the road with the Surfa Rosa boss


CURRENTLY RIDING HIGH IN THE BEATPORT CHARTS with his latest single ‘Rock It Roll It’, Tim Healy is what you would call big in Brazil. Closing last year with a New Year’s Eve gig at Buzios, one of Rio state’s most popular beach resorts (which also reportedly played host to Brigitte Bardot in the ‘60s), when DJmag joined him for a series of gigs around Sao Paulo it was already his sixth trip of the year. From gigs at the famous Deputamadre club, where strippers dance on the bar and we met


a fan with his name tattooed on her wrist, to a prime time slot to an audience of 15,000 in the baking sun at the 1200 festival, via plenty of fresh Brazilian sushi and beer, it took us through the heart of a country whose huge size is making it more and more of a player in the world of dance.
