ASH MISHRA


ASH MISHRA serves as Senior Legal Counsel at General Mills. He is principal legal counsel for Latin America & South Africa. He has served as the President of NAPABA—Minnesota and is a member of its Board of Directors. Ash graduated cum laude from Saint Olaf College and the University of Iowa College of Law where he was a member of the Iowa Law Review and editor of


the Journal of Gender, Race and Justice. Ash was born in New Delhi and raised in India, the Philippines, and France. He speaks Hindi, French, English, and is improving his Spanish.


MICHELLE K. SUGIHARA


MICHELLE K. SUGIHARA is a senior associate at Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP, where she specializes in business and real estate litigation, as well as real estate and entertain- ment transactional deals. Michelle serves on Luce Forward’s Associates’ Committee, Diversity Committee, Pro Bono Committee, and Philanthropy Committee. Michelle provides pro bono


legal services to Public Counsel and The Alliance for Children’s Rights. Additionally, Michelle is a special prosecutor for the City of Burbank. Michelle is a board member of the Japanese American Bar Association (JABA), Treasurer of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of LA, and founding member/VP of the JABA Educational Foundation.


CHRISTIAN NA


CHRISTIAN NA is Deputy General Counsel of CIRCOR International, Inc., where he manages the day-to-day legal affairs of the company and its subsidiar- ies worldwide. He also previously held the positions of Group Vice President & General Counsel at a $1B division of Danaher Corporation, and General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for the U.S. subsidiary of Mitel Networks


Corporation. Prior to in-house practice, Christian worked at law firms in Washington D.C. and started his career as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Boston. He also served as part-time Adjunct Professor at George Washington University, Elliott School of International Affairs.


RAJ NATARAJAN


RAJ NATARAJAN is a partner with McGuireWoods LLP’s Debt Finance Department in Charlotte. He has negoti- ated and documented numerous syndi- cated, club and bilateral credit facilities with specific emphasis in middle market health care transactions. Throughout his career, he has found ways to give back to the Asian community, charitably through Raksha, Inc., professionally


through the Network of Indian Professionals, and within the legal com- munity through the IndusBar of Georgia. Raj is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation and was recognized by the Atlanta Business Chronicle in 2006 as one of their “40 Under 40—Up and Comers.”


BIJAL V. VAKIL


BIJAL V. VAKIL is the Executive Partner in Charge of White & Case’s Silicon Valley office. His practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, strategic counseling, and technology licensing. He has litigated intellectual property cases in numerous district courts, the International Trade Commission, and before the Federal Circuit. Bijal has liti- gated patent cases involving a variety of


technologies, including plasma television, digital and analog integrated circuits, semiconductor manufacturing, software, computer systems, consumer electronics, and telecommunications. He also represents clients in patent negotiations and licensing.

NINA WANG focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation and advising clients on intellectual property issues, with a particular emphasis on patent litigation. Nina’s experience includes serving as counsel in cases involving a wide breadth of technology, including trading software, biochemistry assays, medical devices, and wireless internet devices. Prior to coming to


Faegre & Benson, Nina served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Colorado and as a law clerk to the Honorable Peter J. Messitte of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. From 2008-09, Nina served as the President of APABA Colorado.


AMARDEEP SINGH


AMARDEEP SINGH is the co-founder of the Sikh Coalition, the largest Sikh civil rights organization in the U.S. He currently serves as Director of Programs and oversees the Coalition’s use of litigation, advocacy, community organiz- ing, and strategic communications to advance social justice goals. Along with Department of Homeland Security officials, he helped to formulate


guidelines governing the searches of Sikh passengers in U.S. airports. Mr. Singh currently sits on the Board of Trustees of the South Asian Bar Association of New York and was recently appointed by President Obama to the White House Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.


MCCA.COM ALICE WONG


ALICE WONG serves as corporate counsel for Nordstrom, primarily sup- porting the Real Estate Group. She is a co-founder and past president of the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Washington, and she has served on the Asian Bar Association of Washington board for eight years in various capacities, including President in 2007. In the past four years, she has


served on the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association board. Alice was born and raised in Seattle. In her spare time, if she is not chasing her toddler around, she likes to work on expanding her shoe and handbag collection.
