Young Pinoy game maker lives out dream in cyber space
INSIDE a brightly painted red and green building in the Philippines’ financial hub, work is more like play for a young team making funky electronic games. Niel Dagondon may be the boss, but the 30-year-old is living out his boyhood dream running a company that creates games for iPods and iPads, smartphones and websites such as Facebook, as well as game consoles and personal computers. “I’ve always wanted to make

A DAY after upsetting host and reigning champion Vietnam, the Philippine men’s squad shoots for a victory against Myanmar on Wednesday to enter the semifinal phase of the 2010 Asian Football
ket (WESM).
Meralco said that the primary reason for the reduction in the generation charge was the lower price of electricity in the WESM, which went down by P4.99 a kilowatt-hour this month.
WESM prices for the supply month of
November were at P6.35 compared to P11.34 of the preceding supply month. The reduction in WESM prices more than offset the slightly higher prices from
other suppliers.
Napocor rates increased by P0.44 from P4.85 to P5.29 a kilowatt-hour. Meanwhile, average IPP rates also jumped by P0.14 from P4.23 to P4.37 a kilowatt-hour because of the weakening of the peso-dollar exchange rate and lower dispatch. In particular, one unit of the 500-mega- watt San Lorenzo natural gas plant, which
