How to remix a Classic-al Rob da Bank and Tom Middleton head back to 1819

The formidable pairing of Bestival bossman Rob da Bank and ex Jedi Knight/one half of Global Communication Tom Middleton team up to reimagine Paginini’s 1819’s classical piece ‘24th Caprice’ for the 21st century. Going under the confusing moniker Robortom (surely it’s Rob and Tom, plus Au Revoir Simone on vocals) the single ‘Paginini Rocks’ – out 6th December on Sunday Best – follows on from previous attempts by Chopin, Liszt, Schumann, Rachmaninoff and, er, Lloyd- Webber. Remixing Tom Hodge’s 2009 incarnation, radio and extended edits are joined by remixes from Mighty Mouse, Louis Laroche, James Talk, and Digital Soundboy, while Rob and Tom deliver a Sunday Best Remix and Tech House Mix respectively for a comprehensive package that covers every conceivable dancefloor and some mulit-dimensional alternate reality clubs that you can’t… yet.
