After the marblizer is given time to dry I use a mix of Neutral Marblizer and Gold/Orange Pearl lightly dabbing it on as before.
Now using a sea sponge and a little brown ink I work the surface to give it a more realistic marble texture look. Next I add some very fine cracks all over my design using my Iwata Micron and an over reduced black. It always helps if you have a good reference to work from like a real piece of marble.
Now it’s time to carefully peel off the spray mask and wipe the surface down with a wet cloth and clean water to remove any dry flake paint.
After two coats of clear has been applied and given time to dry the entire surface is sanded with 500 grit sand paper to smooth the edges of the flames preparing the surface for pin striping.
