Latest products Doosan promotes productivity

Doosan offers five mini excavators in the 1 to 6 tonne weight range, each designed to offer increased productivity and fuel economy through electronic optimisation of the hydraulic system and the engine. Zero tail swing models include the DX27z, DX30z and DX35z, which weigh in at 2790, 3180 and 3660kg respectively when they are fitted with a cab and rubber tracks.

The DX55 model weighs 5600kg when similarly equipped, and with a ROPS cab the DX60R machine weighs 5900kg. All machines in the line-up are designed for low noise levels both inside and outside the cab, making them suitable for operation in noise sensitive areas and at night.

Hire-spec Hanix micro

Hanix says that its H09D micro excavator has been designed to meet the needs of the hire industry. In work mode, the width between the tracks can be expanded from 75-95cm to give enhanced stability whilst digging. The tracks retract to facilitate access through narrow openings, and an integrated folding ROPS enable the machine to negotiate doorways with low headroom clearance. With rubber tracks, the H09D weighs 980kg. An elevated seat position gives the user good visibility and the joystick controls are located for straightforward operation. Entry and exit to the operating area is assisted by a hand rail, and the machine is designed to give extra leg room. The maximum digging depth of the H09D is 1600mm and the dumping height is 1925mm.

New Takeuchi ‘ultra swing’ mini

Takeuchi’s latest ‘ultra swing’ FR mini excavator, the TB128FR, weighs 3360kg and features not only very short tail radius, but also a minimal front swing radius.Measuring 1560mm wide, it has a tail radius of 865mm, and its rounded rear end protrudes only 85mm beyond the edge of its 300mm-wide rubber tracks when operating over the side. A major feature of the Yanmar-engined mini is that its boom foot is mounted between two parallel swinging arms. This patented arrangement allows a standard digging bucket (maximum width 470mm) to be brought right back alongside the machine’s cab to allow 360° slewing in confined spaces.

With the bucket folded right back beside the cab, the front of the TB128FR only protrudes around 210mm beyond the side of its track. This allows digging in front of the machine and discharge into a dumper behind it, whilst occupying a working width of less than 1.9m. The clever geometry also allows parallel digging right across the front of the excavator including in line with either track.Takeuchi will officially launch the machine at the Executive Hire Show.
