Tiffany and Nicoyan’s story
Tiffany from Antigua and Nicoyan from St Kitts have both taken the opportunity to study hospitality and tourism at the University of West Indies, fully funded through our Caribbean Scholarship scheme. Our scholarships help ensure that Caribbean nationals take a leading role in shaping the future of Caribbean tourism development.
San Diego, USA Brandon’s story
Brandon was 15, homeless and living under a bridge near downtown San Diego when Stand Up for Kids found him. Through outreach sessions which Virgin Holidays helps to fund, he was provided with food, clothes, guidance and education. He’s now been through the job corps, has a high school diploma, a job and is married with a daughter, Anna.
Karolina’s story
In partnership with Enterprise UK, we’re inspiring and supporting young people like Karolina to set up their own travel and tourism businesses. In 2010 we supported the best 5 enterprise ideas from 100 schools with start up investment of £1000 each and business mentoring, to help turn entrepreneurial ideas and passion into the successful businesses of tomorrow.
