Heating Systems07
Keep Your Home Warm for Less
FACT:
Nearly half of the $2,200 per year that the average U.S. household spends on energy bills goes to heating and cooling costs.

FACT:
If used properly, a programmable thermostat can reduce yearly energy costs by about $180, on average.

FACT:
High-efficiency furnaces and boilers include sealed combustion chambers and fan-assisted exhaust vents. These features ensure that carbon monoxide does not back draft into the home.

FACT:
Energy efficiency may not equal cost effectiveness. The former is a technical measurement, while the latter is dependent on local fuel costs. For instance, an electric baseboard heater is more efficient than a gas furnace but usually costs more to run.
