Air New Zealand Chris Myers Replacing Scott Carr, who takes up the role of general manager, New Zealand, Chris Myers has been appointed general manager of Air New Zealand for the UK. Chris has been with the airline for 14 years and has held roles ranging from revenue management and marketing to online sales, most recently, general manager for Japan and Korea. He will be responsible for all sales, marketing, airport operations and the cabin crew base in the UK. Chris said of his new role: “It’s a very exciting time to be with the airline in the UK. April sees the introduction of our new B777-300 ER on our London-Los Angeles-Auckland route, plus the next year’s rugby providing a great opportunity to build interest and visitors to the country.”
CityJet Christine Ourmières Joining CityJet’s board of directors this October, Christine Ourmières will take on the role of ceo. Christine has more than 20 years’ experience in the airline industry, beginning with Air France where she eventually rose from the maintenance department. She transferred to Amadeus as vice president sales and marketing for the French market. Most recently she held the position of the first general manager and vice president for Air France and KLM in the USA. Christine said: “I’m truly excited and energised about working with such a dynamic team.”
Avtura Limited Ken Smith Former IACA president Ken Smith has accepted the position of chairman at Avtura Limited. Ken began his career in aviation with Gatwick Handling in 1980. He then went on to Air 2000 where he ended up as managing director, before further board level appointments at First Choice Plc, Astraeus and easyJet, as well as holding the post of director general and president of the IACA.

International Anne Bresnahan (USA) Anne Bresnahan has been appointed executive vp of En Route International USA Inc. She is an accomplished sales and marketing executive with extensive international experience and over two decades in the travel industry. Anne lives in Boston and enjoys spending time with her family along with playing golf and tennis in her free time.
Serena Vickers (UK) Serena Vickers has joined En Route International Ltd as new product development manager. Prior to this she spent five years developing
gourmet ready meals, soups and sauces for both the travel and retail industry. Based in Windsor, Serena will be responsible for bringing new products to the market place for En Route.”
AeroMobile Communications Limited Pål Bjørdal Pål Bjørdal will succeed Bjørn-Taale Sandberg as Aeromobile’s chief executive. Mr Bjørdal is currently ceo of Maritime Communications Partner, a provider of international cellular services. Bjorn-Taale will return to Telenor, AeroMobile’s parent company.
Ethiopian Airlines Ato Tewolde G. Mariam Ato Tewolde G. Mariam has been appointed as ceo- designate of Ethiopian Airlines succeeding Ato Girma Wake. Ato Tewolde has served Ethiopian for the last 25 years in the marketing division at the head office and in India, Saudi Arabia and the USA. Prior to this appointment he served as coo of Ethiopian, steering operations during a period of unprecedented and profitable growth.
Singapore Airlines Goh Choon Phong Goh Choon Phong will succeed Chew Choon Seng as ceo of Singapore Airlines in December this year. Mr Goh joined Singapore Airlines in 1990. He has served in senior management positions in Singapore as well as overseas, and is currently executive vice president for marketing and the regions. He is also presently Chairman of SilkAir.
Wessco Jennifer Green Jennifer Green, sales account manager, (left) and Crystal O’Neilin, marketing and brands manager, (right), are the newest Wessco International team members. Jennifer works directly with major cruise lines and boutique hotels while Crystal manages the brands and marketing for all divisions including airlines, cruise lines and hotels. Jennifer is responsible for developing the existing account base and driving new business growth. She brings over 10 years of sales experience to Wessco and has already solidified rapports with customers as well as vendors. Crystal, a recent graduate of Chapman University, with a BA in Marketing, provides fresh and innovative marketing ideas to Wessco. She develops and markets custom and brand-name amenities for airlines, cruise lines and hotels.
