Processless Digital Plate

It prints at 100 pages per minute and uses Xerox’s low-melt Emulsion Aggregation Dry Ink, which delivers an offset-like finish and requires less energy to manufacture than conventional toners.
Wide-format UV Flatbed Printer
FUJIFILM North American Corpora- tion (Booth 627) is debuting the Acuity
Advance HS wide-format UV flatbed printer with roll media option, offering production speeds of 430-sq. ft./hour. The HS also boasts an express mode that allows it to print up to 657 sqft per hour. It provides precise registration and edge-to-edge printing. In addition, the roll media option makes it a cost-effec- tive UV roll solution for printing onto any number of flexible materials.
Mitsubishi Imaging (MPM), Inc. (Booth 224) is presenting the process- less DigiPlate PDP-VL, a chemical- free platemaking system, consisting of the PDP 6-VL platesetter and PDP-VL polyester- or paper-based materials. Its maximum resolution of 3000 dpi and 200 lpi guarantees the highest qual- ity offset printing for run lengths up to 20,000 impressions. The system, featur- ing an internal drum exposure system, can output a 30.5" wide plate in three minutes with no chemicals added.
Perfect Binding System
Standard Finishing Systems (Booths 1244, 1644) is premiering the Standard Horizon CABS 6000 perfect binding system. It includes the MG-600 Gath- erer, SB-17 17-clamp Perfect Binder, and HT-110 3-knife trimmer. This sys- tem can produce up to 6,000 books/hour. Up to 6 MG-600 Gatherers can be placed in-line for a total of 36 stations feeding up to 64-page signatures rang- ing from 5.83x4.14" to 15.15x10.8". The SB-17 Perfect Binder allows for changeover from EVA to PUR adhesive with interchangeable tanks and book thicknesses from .08" to 2". The HT-110 3-knife trimmer accepts a lift size up to 3.9" and produces trimmed books from 5.71x4.05" to 14.4x11.81".
