Phantasialand, Brühl, Germany, launched a new land this summer. Tal der Wuze (Valley of Wuze) is an extension the park's Wuze Town, and features more fantastic theming. As well as a hedge maze called Irrgarten and the Würmling Express monorail by Preston & Barbieri, the new area also features package of attractions from Zamperla including Lustige Papagei (a Flying Bus-style ride), Fröhliche Bienchenjagd (a Frog-themed Jump Around) and Wolke's Luftpost (a themed Magic Bikes).
“The oldest amusement park in the world” gave a fresh feel to its classic wooden coaster this summer by adding new trains from KumbaK, the Dutch amusement engineers. The three 17-seater trains took the place of the previous trains, which each had a brake car, and so KumbaK

Zamperla's art department followed the designs supplied by Phantasialand's own team to designers to create the spectacular and unique themes for each rides. The Magic Bikes is proving to be a steady seller for Zamperla in Europe, with additional sales in 2010 to Plopsaland in Belgium, Gulliver's World in the UK and Tivoli in Copenhagen, where a Rasmus Klump-themed version of the ride appears as part of the new Klump Island.

ISLA MAGICA Two-thousand-and-ten was declared “Year of the Pirate” at Isla Magica in Seville, Spain. Located inside the park's Puerta de América area is a brand new pirate ship attraction called Navío Barbarroja (Barbarroja Boat). Supplied by SBF/Visa, the 32-seat ride swings to a height of 11 metres over a lake. Also new this season at Isla Magica were two new nWave films for the park's 4D theatre, Piratas and Visión Tortuga (Turtle Vision), plus a further two films for its Cinemoción motion base cinema.

WHALE ADVENTURES
EUROPA-PARK Whale Adventures – Splash Tours is the latest and arguably best-themed interactive water ride by Mack. The ride is the second major attraction to appear inside Europa-Park’s “Iceland” area, which also got its own monorail station this season as part of the German park’s 35th anniversary season. Whale Adventures takes passengers on a voyage in search of Icelandic marine life. Additional water cannons are located around the perimeter of the ride so passing guests can join in the fun.
