One year on from installing its first HP latex printer, digital print centre, JKN Digital, has purchased the latest HP Scitex LX800 printer through large format reseller City and West End Solutions. A new partnership with Hanita Coatings will see Plaspro supply a range of films, including: PET, PVC, polycarbonate, styrene and synthetic paper, the electo-ink receptive coatings for HP indigo under the Dura-Go brand. These films are said to offer benefits for HP Indigo presses such as
enhanced ink anchorage, durability and prolonged shelf life.
Applications include membrane switch overlays, backlit menus, promotional graphics and POP graphics, cards and tags and Plaspro will hold materials in stock for prompt delivery. A range of polyester materials will also be available under the Dura-Kote brand for laser printing dry toner digital presses, which have high demands for heat stability during printing. The range will include appearances in white, clear, silver or translucent, most available in gloss and matt finishes. Thickness ranges from 36 to 200µm. Applications include large books, menus, light box scrollers, backlit signs and brochures. These products provide water resistance with no lamination and many films are lighter than paper, making them ideal for large format catalogues where weight is paramount.
