15 years of Ovum hits SW4
Josh Wink tells us about what’s big in his world
We first became aware of Josh Wink as the dreadlocked purveyor of bleepy, West Coast acid breakbeat classic, ‘Higher State of Consciousness’, way back in 1995. Since then he’s gone all respectable, shaved those ropes and become an international techno player, albeit one who still enjoys his pulses and probably knows the difference between the sun salutation and downward dog. This year his label Ovum celebrates its 15th anniversary, with a recent compilation taking
in a host of hot talent including Maidstone boy Nic Fanciulli, Shlomi Aber, office favourite Kink, and even big room Morillo consort Harry Choo Choo Romero, who receives the esteemed Joris Voorn remix treatment (woom, woom, woom, woom). So we’re chuffed that he’ll also be joining DJmag in the Bedrock Arena at SW4 on Saturday 28th of August. Join us on the common for a performance that promises to be anything but.
