Kärcher holds successful New Product Week


Kärcher, the world’s largest manufacturer of cleaning machines, recently held a professional product launch week at its Academy in Banbury, Oxfordshire. Hundreds of visitors attended, including Kärcher dealers, professional end-users, new prospects and local businesses. Spread over three days, the event was used to showcase five new Kärcher products, the new anthracite colour for professional users, and also staged the draw of Kärcher’s Win a Mercedes van competition, where one Kärcher dealer would win a brand new Mercedes Vito for their business.


The draw was made by BTCC driver and Fifth Gear presenter Jason Plato, who revealed the winner to be Jim Brown of Brown’s Pressure Washers, Ayrshire. The competition was part of a four-month dealer promotion on Kärcher HDS hot water pressure cleaners, where each HDS machine purchased by a dealer represented


one ticket in the draw. Jim was not present at the draw, but did visit the Academy to receive his prize the following week.


On display around the Academy were Kärcher professional floorcare products in the company’s new anthracite colour. In response


to customer requests and following worldwide research, this dark grey colour offers several advantages over yellow for certain market sectors, where end-users want a more discreet, less conspicuous colour for use in public-facing environments.
