TOMORROW’S CLEANING AUGUST 10
Tried and Tested: Soluclean FS Hard Surface Cleaner
TOMORROW’S CLEANING EDITOR, CHARLOTTE TAYLOR, TESTS THE NEW AND IMPROVED HARD SURFACE CLEANER SUPPLIED BY ASHGROVE SPECIALIST PRODUCTS LTD.
This month’s product under scrutiny is the Soluclean FS Hard Surface Cleaner, sent to us by Ashgrove Specialist Products Ltd.
First impressions on opening the package that was dutifully delivered to my desk were good. I was greeted with a lovely floral scent, causing the rest of the editorial team to stick their noses in the air and wake from their deep writing state with curiosity.
I have to say, for want of sounding a little less girly, that the illuminous pink shade of the Hard Surface Cleaner was just brilliant and made me feel a little bit like I was conducting a scientific experiment.
But I digress. Let me describe the range in a little more detail. The Soluclean range comprises of:
• All Purpose Cleaner • Degreaser & Cleaner • Disinfectant Detergent • Hard Surface Cleaner • Neutral Cleaner • Surface Sanitiser • Washroom Cleaner • Glass Cleaner
The pre-measured water-soluble capsules contain a specially formulated concentrated cleaning solution which can be used in both trigger sprays for work surfaces and buckets for floor cleaning, or larger areas.
In the current economic climate, where every penny counts, the value of pre-dosed chemicals can be measured in financial terms, as well as its ease of use and greener credentials. That’s measurable value! In comparison with the traditional format of many cleaning chemicals, the overall cost savings being seen by many organisations, has only served to increase the success of the Soluclean range.
As a forward-thinking company, Ashgrove consulted many of its clients to find out what improvements, if any, they would like to see
from Soluclean FS. After all, what better way to improve than to better your personal best?
After months of testing, they can now offer an even better, more improved product than before. The enhanced pre-measured water soluble range is now to said to offer:
Improved, time-saving performance Powders are more effervescent, allowing the powder to dissolve faster, giving you a ready- to-use product in seconds rather than minutes.
Greener
In line with our environmental policy we have introduced more cost effective packaging by putting 150 sachets in our container giving you over 30% less packaging waste.
Effective against Hospital Acquired Infections The Disinfectant Detergent Cleaner, which is chlorine free has been independently tested to both EN13704 and EN1276 standards and has proven to be effective against both C.Difficile and MRSA.
Cost Effective Reduced transportation cost per sachet, giving you more value for your money.
FEATURE 22 | TOMORROW’S CLEANING | The future of our cleaning industry
Obviously there is only so much we can test here in the Opus office, but we were curious about the dissolving rate and its effectiveness. Naively we expected a couple of seconds’ difference if that. But watch the video to see just how impressive this new formula is against another leading competitor’s product.
Results In just a short space of time, the new and improved Soluclean formula dissolved quickly and evenly, producing a consistent cleaning product. The competitor, while effective, looked sluggish and slow in comparison and left a strange residue and uneven distribution.
One additional point to note was the scent – the new formula had a pleasant floral scent, perfect to mask any off-putting odours. The alternative product however, just didn’t really compare.
I could write a lot about this product, but as seeing is believing, I think I will keep my mouth shut and let the video do the talking… for once.
