A quick look at the faces behind the fl owers

Caroline Vaughan Lab Supervisor, Syngenta

Caroline Vaughan was fi rst exposed to Calliope™ geraniums in fall 2008. Ever since, she’s been hooked on the fl ower’s rich red color and rounded habit. But Vaughan, an avid gardener, isn’t the only one to notice the bold fl ower: Friends and neighbors at home often ask about the Calliope plants in her garden. “It does everything I’ve ever wanted a geranium to do!” she says.

Don Snow Technical Specialist Manager, Syngenta Flowers

A 3,500-mile road trip to Guatemala was Don Snow’s way of giving back to the people who produce seeds and cuttings for Syngenta Flowers. Although he has traveled to Guatemala more than 60 times for the company, this time he had new goals: donating his beloved pickup truck to an orphanage and raising money for an organization that provides health care to the area. “It’s only fi tting that we help those in Guatemala who need us most,” he says.

Faith Savage Retail Account Manager, Syngenta Flowers

Through an employee contest that achieved big sales gains and creative in-store promotional signage, Faith Savage helped Armstrong Garden Centers in California reach success with the superior Ramblin’™ petunia series. “It’s a success for the home gardener — and for the retailer,” she says.
