Thermo Fisher Scientific Announces the Availability of the Orion DUAL STAR™ Benchtop Meter
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc has announced that the new Thermo Scientific Orion DUAL STAR Meter is now available. There are many benefits packed into the Orion DUAL STAR meter. It’s ideal for measuring from two different samples at the same time or reading two different measurement parameters simultaneously from one sample. Wastewater laboratories can measure pH and ammonia levels quickly and easily. Food processing facilities can measure pH and sodium levels concurrently.
The capability to save up to 10 methods per channel makes repeated, routine testing a breeze. Individual points of the calibration slope can be edited, minimising errors, and the calibration graph with the slope can be viewed on screen or sent to the Star series printer (sold separately). The meter interface works well for beginners and experienced users alike.
Benefits of the Thermo Scientific Orion DUAL STAR meter include:

The Orion DUAL STAR meter is avail-able in four packages. The basic meter package, catalogue number 2115000, comes with an electrode stand, ATC probe, universal power adapter and user guide. There are two meter and electrode sets. Both include an electrode stand, universal power adapter and user guide. The only difference is with the electrode and ATC probe (separate or integrated). Set 2115101 includes the 8102BNUWP ORION ROSS¨ Ultra pH electrode and an ATC probe, while set 2115102 includes the 8157BNUMD ROSS Ultra pH/ATC Triode™ electrode. For a complete package, order the 2115001 meter kit. It includes all the items of the 2115101 electrode set, ORION ROSS electrode storage solution and one pint each of pH 4, 7 and 10 buffers.
Continuing to make things easy, new quick start notes are available just for the Orion DUAL STAR meters. Whether measuring for ammonia, fluoride, nitrate or pH, these notes provide the start-up and procedural inform- ation needed to measure these ionic species, regardless of experience level. Visit

The Orion DUAL STAR meter replaces the discontinued dual channel, Orion 525A+, 720A+ and 920A+ meters. A listing of those part numbers along with a cross-reference to the new Orion DUAL STAR catalog numbers is available upon request. Meter software updates for the DUAL STAR, including autosampler and USB data download capabilities, will be available as a complimentary software download from
