Saville Audio Visual has further strengthened its sales team in London and the Home Counties with the appointment of Martin Winterstein-Smith for its AV Systems Division.


After ten years in the computer industry, Martin’s experience includes fourteen years in AV technical sales, pulling in a national contract to supply complete audio visual inventory for one of the UK’s major hotel chains.


Based in West Sussex, Martin’s role will focus on integrated AV and IT system


sales, in


particular the development of Saville’s telepresence,


videoconferencing and bespoke AV furniture business.

James Latham secures five year exclusive deal with LG Hausys


With an impressive five year partnership already behind James Latham and LG Hausys, the UK’s largest timber and panel products distributor recently signed a further five year exclusive UK* deal for the distribution of LG’s solid surface HI-MACS® Natural Acrylic Stone.


The agreement has been sealed until the end of 2014 and by working together prior


to this deal; the companies have already achieved an impressive and continuous growth during the last period.

Full Steam Ahead for Husbands’ St Pancras Win


Husbands, the Birmingham lift company has been awarded the contract to supply a number of dumb waiter lifts to a top restaurant which is being built as part of the £100 million restoration and refurbishment programme underway at St Pancras Chambers. St Pancras Chambers is the grade I listed Gothic style building which fronts St Pancras International.


The regeneration of St Pancras Chambers is being undertaken by London & Continental Railways and Manhattan Loft Corporation and includes 67 private apartments already completed and occupied. The other part, a five star hotel set to be the flagship hotel for the Marriott’s Renaissance brand, is due to open next year. Husbands will be supplying the lifts to the hotel’s ‘destination’ restaurant. When complete the hotel will offer 245 bedrooms, bars, bistro, members club, function rooms, meeting rooms, health and leisure centre and spa, in addition to the ‘destination’ restaurant.


The lifts which will be fitted by Husbands over two days will link the ground and first floors of the restaurant. The company has also been awarded the maintenance contract for the lifts for a 12 month period.


The project was awarded to Husbands by Galliford Try, the site contractors.


The contract with St Pancras Chambers is one of several contracts won by the lift solutions company within the last few months and worth a total in excess of £500,000.
