But what we’re seeing is that even as these retailers try and get their head round how to safely and profitably integrate new modes of messaging into their communications environment they’ve got one eye on the horizon looking out for the next big thing. This is

t’s going to be a tough environment for the UK public sector over the course of the next parliament. The government sees it as a route to slash the country’s deficit and demonstrate their commitment to getting the economy back on track.
With everyone promising to deliver more efficient services, and all heralding the benefits of online citizen access as a way to standardise availability of services, you can be sure that the strain of this ‘more for less’ approach will fall on IT departments. They’ll be expected to turn this efficiency utopia into something more than political hot air and this is a great opportunity for Avaya

The thoughtful use of technology can make the difference between a complete IT overhaul and an evolutionary approach to achieving the cost savings and efficiency goals by which IT heads will now be judged. Public sector organisations like Cambridgeshire County Council are already using Avaya to improve business agility, speed up service delivery and change the way employees work to make services more cost effective and more accessible. Our job is to make sure that more of our partners have the right tools and technology to deliver these benefits to public sector organisations.

life into legacy networks by creating a ‘wrap’ of unified communications across various networks within a business even if they are from different vendors – by decoupling applications from the network and ensuring they can be managed and administered centrally. This network consolidation extends the RoI of existing investments by connecting

Regardless of what sector, regardless of how large your business, this is a sensible business move and it is sensible for us to be giving our partners the tools to capitalise on this growing trend.
