Hillhead Preview
Whilst incorporating the well proven principle of the rotating pan, the ‘R’ series is a simpler design to the older ‘D’ series mixer that is still widely used throughout the concrete industry. Fitted with a single multi-level mixing tool, and fixed pan and wall scrapers, the complete batch of material is swept into the mixing zone on every pan revolution. As a consequence, the applied energy is efficiently transferred into the mix, in direct proportion to the speed of the mixing tool. This tool may run in the opposite or same direction as the pan - particularly useful when light weight aggregates or fibres are to be mixed. The R16 has a 500-750 litre capacity (800-1200kgs) and matches precisely the demands of today’s industry, short mixing times, low energy consumption, high mix quality, batch repeatability and low maintenance.
Powerscreen Stand: L9
Powerscreen, one of the world’s leading providers of mobile crushing, screening and washing equipment, will be exhibiting at Hillhead.
On the stand will be the latest in a series of product launches from Powerscreen, including the Warrior 2400, Pegson XA750 and Pegson 1500 Maxtrak which will be working together on the stand.
On display will be a number of new machines including the Mobile Wash Recycle Plant, Warrior 800, Pegson XH500, Pegson XH320 and the well established Pegson XA400S, Pegson 1000 Maxtrak and Chieftain 2100. Commenting on the forthcoming line up at Hillhead, Damian Power, global product line director, said: “The machines that will be showcased at Hillhead demonstrate how we meet the needs of our customers through innovation and investment in focused research and development.”
Precia-Molen UK Stand: N20
New for Hillhead 2010 from weighing specialists Precia-Molen will be the BI400 touch screen driver weighbridge terminal and ANPR system, which provides a comprehensive method of monitoring and controlling access with accurate vehicle identification 24/7.
The company will also be launching a new range of dynamic weighing equipment, including the BT lorry/train loading scale which encompasses many new features and the ability to connect to management systems. The system is Board of Trade approved for vehicle loading.
Also on display will be a Precia-Molen volumetric hatch suitable for use in a control system for the blending of aggregates.
ProSpare Stand F7
ProSpare will be making its Hillhead debut this year, exhibiting alongside its parent company ConSpare. ProSpare is an independent division which focuses on supplying specialist materials handling equipment to industries handling powders and granular materials such as quarrying, mineral processing, asphalt and cement.
The company provides a wide range of effective solutions to wear problems, and is particularly excited to be launching the new EasiFix abrasion resistant lining at this years show. A unique integrated foam backing layer offers quick, safe, low cost installation and cushions impact.
ProSpare acts as exclusive importer for some of the best known names in the industry and will exhibit Monitor level indicators, BFM dust free connecting sleeves, CAMS screw conveyors and butterfly valves, Solimar aeration fluidisers, filter cartridges and our new silo safety system. It will be exhibiting three different models of Teka mixer,
Walter high-pressure mixer washout systems, CDX dust extraction systems and Hydronix microwave moisture measurement equipment.
RDS Stand: N12
To help make the most efficient use of stock, time and machinery, RDS Technology will be exhibiting its range of on-board weighing instruments at Hillhead emphasising the gains in productivity that can be achieved by investing in such technology. Benefiting from innovative
enhancements to the weighing algorithm for static and dynamic weighing modes, the Loadmaster i range of on-board weighing scales for large wheeled loaders offers effective management of weighing data.
RDS will also be exhibiting the trade-approved Loadmaster 9000i with European MID Weights and Measures approval. Fitted to a wheeled loading shovel, this on-board weighing scale effectively transforms the loader into a mobile weighbridge which conforms to class Y(a) and Y(b) levels of accuracy. This approval is valid across the EU and other associated states meaning that any approval carried out in the UK for example is valid for commercial use in another EU country. For further bespoke data management options, the Loadmaster 9000i DMM features an extended data-handling module. This has been specially designed with the integral SD card port central to the system. Up to six separate reference fields for each truck loading cycle can be stored in a
comprehensive database for detailed record keeping. The details of each field can be uploaded to the instrument from the SD card or programmed onto the card directly through the
instrument. The card exports the weighing data into an Excel compatible file, ready for use with company invoice and record systems.
