Hillhead Preview
Get equipped for Hillhead
The next Hillhead takes place from 22–24 June, at Tarmac’s Hillhead Quarry, Buxton. We preview the show
Aggregate Processing and Recycling Ltd (APR) Stand: M12
At Hillhead 2010 APR and GIPO will be exhibiting the GipoCOMBI RC130FDR which is a mobile heavy duty, highly efficient GIPO crushing and screening plant of compact design, with a production range or 200 - 550tph.
With a fully tracked mobile combination machine, there are crucial cost benefits for the purchaser, effective transportation, fuel consumption and the overall impact on the environment; this compact machine requires less space on site, and allows many classified end products to be produced simultaneously. GipoCOMBI machines are available in Jaw, Impactor or VSI models with production ranges of 200 to 1100tph. This extremely powerful machine is combined with an integral 2-deck screen allowing the plant to produce a high quality end product. Additionally, the machine allows operation with a wider crushing dimension with the utilisation of the integrated oversized particle feedback. This also offers further benefits in crushing capacity and general wear.
Powered by the latest Tier3 Caterpillar diesel motor and efficient Rexroth hydraulic drives, this machine can be used universally and is highly efficient incorporating tried and tested technology and ease of operation.
Baldor Stand: G10
A new motorised version of the world-leading Dodge torque-arm shaft-mounted speed reducer from Baldor will make its European debut.
The Dodge Motorized Torque-Arm II (MTA) shaft mounted speed reducer is a right-angle gearbox with an IEC flanged motor interface, specified for use with two-pole or four-pole motors. A choice of 12 helical gear reduction ratios and three case sizes allows the unit to deliver a wide range of speed reductions from 18:1 to 75:1 for class 2 applications from 1.5 to 55 kW, with very high efficiencies up to around 95%. The MTA has been optimised for robustness, offering considerable advantages over comparable gearboxes designed in accordance with European design practices. The reducer is rated to meet the 6010 AGMA (American Gear Manufacturers Association) standard. This specifies a 5000 hour bearing life, approximately twice as long as comparable DIN design specifications.
Case Construction Equipment Stand: X7
Case Construction Equipment will provide a wide range of materials handling solutions at this year’s Hillhead exhibition. With a full line of construction and industrial equipment on offer, Case will demonstrate its commitment to the extraction and rehandling sectors, with a diverse selection of machines on static and working demonstration sites.
The largest wheeled loading shovel in the Case range, the 1221E, will be in action on the working face of the quarry, operating in tandem with the Case 340ADT. Powered by a Stage III compliant Cummins 11 litre engine, the 1221E has a powerful 320hp (239kW) available, which drives through a torque sensing autoshift transmission.
With representatives from Case dealers across the UK, along with support from CNH Finance, customers visiting the Case stand will be able to find a complete materials handling solution.
