BSC HONS NURSING
The Nursing degree (BSc Honours) is a 3 year full time qualification leading to professional status as a Registered Adult, Mental Health or Children’s Nurse. With study based at our Hendon, Archway and Hospital campuses in London, and placements with our NHS Trust partners, the course is designed to help you develop the complex clinical and caring skills needed to work in a modern health service.
Our newly validated degree level course is specifically designed to ensure our graduate nurses will be able to take their place as ‘independent and innovative leaders who are able to use higher levels of professional judgement and decision making in a complex care environment’ (Nursing and Midwifery Council, 2010).
The course aims to produce graduate nurses, who are registered on the NMC professional register.
We recognise that you bring with you a wide range of useful experiences and we will help you to build upon these and develop the strong foundation on which to develop the rest of your nursing career. The course will equip you with a wide knowledge base to underpin the range of caring skills used in professional nursing practice.
You will experience a range of teaching and learning environments which will include lectures, classrooms sessions, student presentations, on line quizzes and many more ways to help you develop life long learning skills. You will need to be a motivated and self directed learner and we will assist you in developing vital skills – skills to learn and skills to care for others.
Your study for the Nursing degree (BSc Honours) is funded by the NHS; you will have your fees paid and receive a bursary while you study. Please note that this is subject to change.
