rope walking on the slack rope. This is
an uncommon circus skill, a little chal-
lenging at first but still very fun. Then it’s
back to the air with web and silks, which
are basically single and double ropes to
be climbed, wrapped around you and
played with.
As you can imagine, while you are
doing all these things, you are building
strength, balance and coordination while
the whole time it’ll seem like fun. You
will be sore in muscles that have never
been sore before. You will most likely
get little scrapes and rope burns, but you
will really feel like you’ve accomplished
something when you master that skill. It’s
never the same class, there are infinite
variations of things that can be done. You
can bring a friend or child with you and
do some partnered skills. Juggling with a
buddy is hilarious. Double trapeze builds
trust and confidence with one another.
You can bring your whole family and do
an activity as a group, and no one has
to stand on the sidelines to watch. There
is something for all body types to do, as
long as you make the effort.
